This interactive data retrieval system provides access to information about births to women residing in Hartford by their neighborhood of residence for the years 1990 to 2005.

The neighborhoods which you may select below are those in which the mother lived at the time of the child's birth. Mothers addresses were individually assigned (geocoded) to the neighborhood in which they fall. Mothers who live in the residential section of South Meadows are assigned to South End to preserve confidentiality. Neighborhoods are as defined by the city of Hartford. Teen births are defined as those to mothers who are aged 13-19 at the time of the birth.
For any neighborhood where there are 5 or fewer births, data have been suppressed, and an asterisk (*) appears in order to preserve confidentiality.
