What’s New on HartfordInfo.org

Here are some of the recent additions to HartfordInfo.org:

  • “Capitol Region Transportation Plan,” which outlines a comprehensive program for improving the regional transportation system to meet needs through the year 2030. The Plan was published by Capitol Region Council of Governments (CRCOG). To find it, go to www.hartfordinfo.org and click on “Transportation” in the list of “Current Issues” on the left side of the home page.
  • The CREN Census Profiles for the 2000 census have now been incorporated into the “Community Data” section of HartfordInfo. Go to www.hartfordinfo.org, click on “Community Data” on the right side of the home page, then click on “City Neighborhoods.” The analysis from the CREN Profiles can be found for each Hartford neighborhood under various data categories.
  • Two reports published by the Council of State Governments Criminal Justice Programs entitled “Building Bridges: From Conviction to Employment” and “Building Bridges: From Conviction to Employment – One Year Later.” The reports examine issues related to employment of people released from prison. The documents include some data specific to Hartford. To find them, go to www.hartfordinfo.org and click on “Prisoner Re-Entry” in the list of “Current Issues” on the left side of the home page.
  • A report released by the Brighter Futures Initiative of the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving titled “Perceptions of Residents to be Served by Family Centers,” that includes results of a survey of families in several Hartford Neighborhoods. To find it, go to www.hartfordinfo.org and type “bright” in the “Current Issues” search window on the left side of the home page.
  • A recent price comparison survey of Hartford supermarkets done by The Hartford Food System. To find it, go to www.hartfordinfo.org and type “super” in the “Current Issues” search window on the left side of the home page.
