Ritter In The Ring?

On Monday, Democrat J. Stan McCauley said he was running for mayor in 2011. Today, Councilman Matt Ritter said he was considering doing the same.

He's also considering another run for the council. And a possible bid for the state legislature.

"I am making calls about what I may do in the next couple of years and that conversation has included a lot of different possibilities," Ritter, a Democrat, said. "I'll probably make a decision in the next couple of months."

Ritter, son of former House Speaker Thomas D. Ritter and the top vote getter on the council in 2011 2007, is in his first term on the city council.
