Seventeen votes. That's all that kept the Working Families Party from putting its entire slate on the Hartford Board of Education. But after the completion of a recount earlier today, they'll have to settle for a split of the four seats up for grabs last Tuesday with the Democrats.
Top vote-getter Lori Hudson and incumbent Luis Rodriguez-Davila will represent the Dems for the next four years, while incumbent Elizabeth Brad Noel and Robert Cotto, Jr. will carry the Working Families colors.
But it wasn't official till the registrars of voters said so today after recounting votes for Rodriguez-Davila and Working Families incumbent Sharon Patterson-Stallings, who finished fifth and within 25 votes.
Final tally Rodriguez-Davila 1,219 and Patterson-Stallings 1,203
