Has Mayor Segarra Knocked On Your Door?

By Vanessa de la Torre

August 17, 2011

This statement comes from the mayor's campaign staff. It reads, in part:

Hartford Mayor Pedro Segarra announced today that his campaign has knocked on over 30,000 doors since July 1st and have reached every neighborhood in Hartford. The grassroots effort works in concert with the campaign's theme of "Listening and Serving" the people of Hartford.

Mayor Segarra remarked, "Our campaign is focused on listening to city residents so that we can serve them more effectively. We are going door-to-door in each corner of Hartford to let people know that we want to hear their ideas and concerns."

"Our campaign is fueled by the people we talk to," Mayor Segarra continued. "There is no substitute for getting out into the neighborhoods and listening to the people of Hartford."

Mayor Segarra's campaign manager, Phil Sherwood, commented further on the campaign's approach, "When I joined Mayor Segarra's campaign he made it clear the type of race he wanted to run. He is a hands-on candidate who thrives when speaking with city residents so we make it a priority to be out in Hartford's neighborhoods as much as we can." Sherwood added, "This type of campaign is refreshing, he is breathing new life into the Mayor's Office."
