Kids Uniformly Love The Clothes, Parents Love The Prices

What's Selling: Nosotros Sports Plus sells public school uniforms at discount prices. There are also sports uniforms - baseball, basketball, cheerleading, football, soccer, you name it. It also offers sweat suits, gym shorts, plaques, business cards, banners, signs and sports trophies. There is also screen printing on T-shirts.
Who Goes There? Parents in the Clay Arsenal neighborhood in Hartford come to purchase their children's school uniforms with embroidered labels provided by the Hartford School District. Others are welcome. Ramos selected this location in a recently built strip mall last year so he could cater to families who live in Hartford and can't afford transportation to malls outside of the city to shop for school clothes. The employees know their clientele and offer layaways and IOUs for parents on fixed incomes.
Who Works There? Three full-time employees - Efrain and Ada Ramos, the owners, and Rafael Collazo.
cool Fact: The Ramoses selected the styles that today's youths like: Dickies pants in khaki, blue and gray; Polo-style shirts; sweat suits, skirts and jumpers for girls. The brands are known for durability, such as Dickies pants with reinforced knees. The outfits look more like monogrammed business attire than stuffy school uniforms. A complete outfit costs about $25 to $30.
