Rodent Control Plan– The Council referred to public hearing November 18, to the Health and Human Service Committee, and to the Planning Economic Development and Zoning Committee an ordinance which would require that all new development – which includes new buildings and new additions to existing buildings – have a Rodent Control Plan to eliminate rodents on the entire property. The plan would include a contract with a licensed exterminator. If established, the income from the fund would be used for implementing children and youth programs. The principal of the fund would consist of several sources including: proceeds from specific fund raising events, gifts or contributions made to the city to create the fund, and contributions from the general fund resulting from savings with the Human Services Department 2001-2002 operating budget.

City Plan Implementation Strategy-- The Council referred to the Planning Economic Development and Zoning Committee a resolution to adopt the City Plan Implementation Strategy. The Strategy is the product of the City Plan Implementation Taskforce, which has been working with the creators of various plans to prioritize elements within the plans, and assign timelines and responsibilities for implementation.
